WORKSHOP: Atchooo! Foley Workshop for Families
Event type:
Saturday, September 15, 2018 - 15:00 to 16:00

Join sound artist, composer and arts broadcaster Fari Bradley (Resonance FM) for a fun family workshop to explore the art of foley; the live recreation of sound effects for use in film. Drawing on Mika Rottenberg’s masterful use of sound in her films for comic and dramatic effect, this interactive session introduces children and adults to producing sound effects through manipulating objects such as watermelons and frozen cabbages.

Ideal for children aged 8 plus and their parents.
All welcome and free.

A sound artist, composer and arts-broadcaster, Bradley was born in Iran and brought up in the UK, and lived for four years each in Iran, the UAE, and India, as well as a year each in Brussels, Dublin, and Naples. Coming from a background in languages and classical music (piano and wind instruments, composition and performance). After an Honours Degree in Italian Studies, Bradley conceived and delivered environmental projects for the British Trust for Conservation, engaging media and community to instigate projects that bridge the arts and the environment, until a City & Guilds in Journalism led to working with radio broadcast  and digital audio formats.
