Love, Cardiff

PERFORMANCE, EXHIBITION, ARCHIVE.

WHOEVER YOU ARE, YOU HAVE A STORY TO TELL.

Love, Cardiff is the story of our city’s past, present and future told through the personal accounts of our City Road communities. The customers in the barbers and take-aways pass each other on the street. The staff in the grocers, the sex shop, and the funeral directors sit side by side on the bus. The residents of City Road make their way home, every passer-by, every person an extraordinary story.

Panti : High Heels in Low Places

The Queen of Ireland Panti invites you into her gender-discombobulating, stiletto shaped world, exposing stories behind the make-up – from performance giant to accidental activist – to reveal the national f*cking treasure she is today.

In 2014, Panti landed herself in a legal shitstorm, dubbed Pantigate. Her speech about homophobia went viral, was broadcast worldwide, remixed by Pet Shop Boys, caused a parliamentary meltdown and fed into Ireland’s marriage equality referendum success.

Pink Mist

Pink Mist tells the story of three young men deployed to Afghanistan. As the physical and psychological aftershocks of war take their toll on the loved ones they left behind, Arthur, Hads and Taff find their journey home is their greatest battle.

Owen Sheers’ Pink Mist was inspired by 30 interviews with returned servicemen and first staged at Bristol Old Vic in 2015. ‘Eye-opening and brilliantly vivid’ (The Times) this ‘beautifully performed’ (Guardian) production matches powerful words and thrilling movement.
