Rh d is an annual exhibition of site-specific contemporary art and performance in the garden and within a C16th mill in rural West Wales. Curated by artist Sara Rees, this year s exhibition Future Nature Culture explored the pertinent theme of the relationship between nature and culture, and how considerations of climate change, sustainability and the future require us to re-imagine this relationship. Invited speakers from the fields of history of art, ecology and philosophy will offer a range of perspectives and provocations for discussion in the context of Rh d 2013The speakers are: Penny Jones, artist and Rh d Committee member; Alan Istead, ecologist and activist; Rawley Clay artist; Fern Thomas, artist, Sara Rees, curator.
The symposium will be held during the current run of the exhibition at Goat Major Projects and will be followed by a visit to see the show, which features work by artist in residence Rh d 2013 Rebecca Ballestra.
